My name is Captain Michael Cowherd. My friends call me The Fishing Cowboy. Not so much because I'm a cowboy, Although I have had my share of horses, but because when I'm out fishing I always wear my cowboy hat.
I grew up down south in Fort Lauderdale Florida and my father took me out trolling off the coast, and I got hooked on fishing for large, hard fighting fish. Well, that was quite a few big dawgs ago, and in 1987 I moved to Vermont. I probably don't need to tell you that I wasn't here long before I found out that Vermont doesn't have any 25 to 50 pound fish to fight. So I went looking for some, all over the northeast. Well, I found them, and they swim in the Hudson River in May, and can be found in Lake Ontario especially in August and September.
I love to fish and have a good time while doing it. So, if hooking into something big enough for you to proudly hang in your trophy room, or just have a memory that will last a life time sounds good to you, then give me a call or email me and we will pick a date to go out and do what I call Rejuvenated Fishing. Until then, like my daddy always said, "Keep a Tight Line"
